As CEO of Bair & Associates, LLC, I provide independent legal nurse consultant services for medical malpractice, personal injury and product liability cases with special emphasis on long term care. I provide education and training to nursing homes, long term care health organizations and health care lawyers. I serve as an expert in long term care litigation for both plaintiff and defense. As a qualified federal surveyor I have extensive experience in reviewing and analyzing records and determining standards of care. I participated in the initial implementation of OBRA and the MDS. In 1993 I was awarded the CMS Administrator's Citation for extraordinary contributions toward quality improvements in the survey effort. I am an active member of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants and Membership Co-chair for the Phoenix Chapter. I am also a member of the Arizona Geriatric Society, the American College of Health Care Administrators and the American Health Lawyers Association.
