Areas of Practice include but are not limited to: Emergency nursing (adult) Intensive care, critical care (medical and surgical) Home health care Nursing standards of care Services Include but are not limited to: Services for plaintiff and defense clients Prompt review for approaching deadlines at no extra charge Organize, tab and prepare chronological timeline of medical records Review and interpret medical records Review/screen medical records for tampering Brief or comprehensive telephone or written reports Interview clients Assist with discovery Conduct research Karen Jarboe, RN, CEN, CCRN has been a nurse since 1996 specializing in adult critical care and emergency nursing. Prior to nursing, she had 15 years experience as a paralegal in medical malpractice. She is currently a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing. She serves on the Clinical Practice Committee and the Neurology/ER Performance Improvement Committee of a large university teaching hospital. She works closely with Risk Management to educate nurses on documentation and performance improvement issues. She offers services for both plaintiff and defense.
