Lori Gillen
Will Consult and Review Cases Clinical Experience 16+ Years
I have been a staff nurse for a Level III Labor and Delivery Unit (4000+ deliveries/year) for 16+ years where I have participated in unit practice, charge nurse role, preceptor of new nurses to the unit, scrub tech, to name but a few of my roles. Currently I am the Clinical Educator for the unit where I help develop policy and procedures, orient new nurses to the unit, educate staff on new equipment use, and develop Quality Assurance and Process Improvement ideas. I create monthly in-services for staff pertaining to best practice and am responsible for annual unit competency testing. I sit on several committees including FMEA for anticoagulation policy, Hospital Practice Council, and Staff Development. I look forward to assisting you in your cases by reviewing for merit, organizing documents, analyzing all records for relevance to your case, and providing research for current best practice. In addition to nursing expertise I was the Systems Administrator for OBTV and know very well how the system works.
