I have worked for 10 years in Intensive Surgical/Coronary care, and the past 20 years as a Nationally Certified Inpatient Obstetric Nurse. I continue to practice in Labor and Delivery, Operating Room, Recovery Room, and Triage. I also provide staff education in Labor Support/ Childbirth, and have taught many patients and families in the community. Through the experience of acting Pain Liaison for the hospital, I am a spokesperson for policy and procedures, participating in chart audits for standards compliance issues. The added benefit of being bilingual in Spanish has enabled me to be a primary caregiver for Hispanic clients, also providing references and courses in Spanish for healthcare professionals. As a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant, and active member of the National Alliance of Legal Nurse Consultants, I continue to uphold the high level of quality professionalism in my work product.
