My goal as a legal nurse consultant is to advocate for the older population as well as for nurses in a variety of health care settings when litigation becomes necessary. 

As a Masters Prepared Geriatric Clinical Nurse Specialist I have vast knowledge and experience in the nursing care of the older population.  I have been working as a geriatric nurse for 13 years in a variety of settings which include hospital, short and long-term skilled nursing care, rehabilitation, hospice and home care settings.  My experience includes working within healthcare settings to comply with the regulatory agencies such as CMS, State, and JCAHO ensuring the provision of high, and safe quality of care per regulations.  In addition, I am certified by WOCN as a Certified Wound Care Nurse.  I have been working as a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant for the past 3 years with my main focus on elder abuse/neglect and pressure ulcer prevention and management within a variety of health care settings.  I have also been very active in developing and presenting educational programs to the community and healthcare professionals in a variety of topics related to the older population, nursing care issues, nursing and legal issues, and pressure ulcer prevention and management.
