Ever watch the Super Bowl, New Years Eve at Times Square, the
Academy Awards?
How much did you remember the next day? How about the next
week?
What do you remember now? What happens when you get an advertisement through the
mail? Do you
read it before you toss it? What happens to your marketing message?
Most marketing messages are much like these events; lots of flash and hype. The
substance is missing. Everyone tries to get the perfect marketing message that
will bring multiple responses. We all want the perfect marketing message.
How do you create a message with substance?
First: Identify your type of attorney client. What does your
attorney client need from a legal nurse consultant?
- What medical or nursing challenges does the attorney have?
- What medical issues are confusing or frustrating the
attorney?
Two: Clearly articulate: “I will
work with attorney clients who need:
-Identify your type of attorney client’s issues.
-Identify the specific service you offer and spell it
out.
Three: Identify your service and anticipated outcome. “I offer (this kind
of service) and when the attorney uses this service, they will (get this
result.)
Example: I provide a thorough nursing review of the case and when attorneys use
this service, the judge and jury will have a full understanding of the issues.
Or, I provide a thorough nursing review of the case and the attorney will have a
full understanding of the issues.
Four: Prove you can deliver the outcome - Use your story as your message.
The sequel to this is to include an outcome story illustrating the issue. “ My
last case review was used in a trial in which results were favorable to the case
of my attorney client.” Or similar outcome indicators of your
service
Deliver a marketing message that exhibits a desirable outcome
for your client. Tell of actual results of cases if you have any.
Use a POWER PACK approach. Attorneys search through Find Legal Nurse
Consultant member pages looking for the LNC with the qualifications they need.
These qualifications are listed under Specialties and in the narrative. What
sets you apart from the rest sends the message that the attorney will select?
*Note: Find Legal Nurse Consultant members always have the opportunity to adjust
their web page. This is a good time to check the narrative. Does it say what you
want it to? Send email change requests to findlegalnurse@yahoo.com
